WarDogsSocial MarketUnofficial issue and sentiment tracking

How this works

Each recurring WarDogs issue is listed like a stock. Its price is the share of new r/WarDogs posts about it, so the board shows at a glance what players are raising more, or less, than usual. Steam is tracked alongside but kept out of the price (see Sources).

Reading the board

24h share
Of the new r/WarDogs posts in the last 24 hours, the percentage about this issue. A post can be about several issues, so the shares don't add up to 100%.
Change
Today's share minus the issue's average daily share over the previous 7 days, in percentage points. Anything under half a point either way shows as flat.
Dev word
Days since the developers last said something that addresses this issue, on Steam or Reddit (see Sources).

Which posts count

A day's share is only as good as its sample. Once the tool holds 100 or more new r/WarDogs posts for a day, it uses every one of them. For earlier days only the month's top posts are available, and those lean toward popular threads. A day with fewer than 15 posts is marked as a thin sample.

Posts sampled per day

Sorting posts into issues

Every post and comment is read by Jev, a classification model from TypeSafe AI. It doesn't write anything: it answers set questions with a probability from 0 to 100%. The tool asks the same questions of every post, on Reddit and Steam alike:

  • Does it say anything about the game?
  • For each of the 14 issues, is it genuinely about that issue? A passing mention doesn't count.
  • What kind of post is it (bug report, complaint, suggestion, question, praise, meme…), and how does the author feel about the game?
The rule
A post counts toward an issue when Jev gives it 40% or more. A post under 30% on "about the game" (a bare "lol", a lone link) still counts in the day's total, but toward no issue.
Consistency
All of the history was labelled by the same model version, jev-1.13.0, so old and new days are measured the same way.
Featured posts
Posts shown under an issue (its headline and thread lists) get a stricter second question: is the issue a main subject, not a side remark? A headline's title must also say what the post is about on its own.
Limits
Keyword rules stand in for anything Jev hasn't labelled yet. Like any model, Jev can misread sarcasm or very short posts, so treat small moves with care.

Sources

Reddit
Public r/WarDogs posts and comments, collected every few hours. Reddit's feeds carry no vote counts, so a post's rank in the month's top list stands in for engagement.
Steam
The studio's announcements, plus the General and Report a Problem forums. Steam topics are sorted into the same issues, and an issue's page shows its share of new General-forum topics this week once that forum has 200 or more new topics in a week. Steam never feeds the prices on the board. Its forum history only starts in late September 2026, too short for a 7-day baseline. Its players also aren't the subreddit's, so a combined price would move whenever one source got busier, even if nobody's view had changed.
Official word
Steam announcements and developer replies count as first-hand. Statements relayed on Reddit are counted but not verified. Patch markers on the charts come from Steam announcements and "Update x.y.z" post titles. Keyword rules spot possible official posts from their titles; Jev then rules out the ones that clearly aren't (a player saying "the devs haven't answered my ticket" isn't the developers' word), and decides which issues each statement addresses.

Other figures

Gold price
The price players quote most often on a day, shown only when three or more posts agree. It's what players report, not an official figure.
Faction tone
The balance of positive and negative words in the past week's posts that mention a team colour, from −1 (all negative) to +1 (all positive). A rough but consistent signal, not a verdict.
Words on the move
Words used more (or less) in the last 5 days than before.

What it publishes
